Question 1

How do I find the halfway point between two addresses?

Accepted Answer

Enter both addresses into Meet in the Middle at in-the-middle.com. We calculate the exact geographical midpoint and show it on an interactive map, along with the best cafes, restaurants and places to visit nearby.

Question 2

Is Meet in the Middle free to use?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Meet in the Middle is completely free. You do not need an account or to install anything — it works in your browser.

Question 3

What can I do with the midpoint once it's found?

Accepted Answer

We show curated restaurants, cafes, parks and hiking trails around the midpoint so you can pick a fair meeting spot in seconds. Great for meeting friends, first dates, business meetings or family catch-ups.

Question 4

Does it work for any city or country?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Meet in the Middle uses Google Maps data so it works anywhere Google Maps has coverage, including the UK, US, Europe and worldwide.

Question 5

How do I schedule a meetup when everyone has different availability?

Accepted Answer

Go to in-the-middle.com/schedule-meetup and create a free room — no account needed. Set a date window and the days of the week you are open to, then share the link with your group via WhatsApp or email. Everyone taps the link and marks the days they cannot make it. The results page automatically ranks the best days for the whole group. Rooms auto-delete after 24 hours, 72 hours, or 7 days — nothing is stored permanently.

Question 6

Can I combine the scheduling room with the halfway point finder?

Accepted Answer

Yes. When creating a scheduling room you can optionally add everyone's starting locations. Once the group has agreed on a date, Meet in the Middle automatically suggests a fair halfway point and nearby cafes, restaurants and places to meet.

Question 7

Can I use it to find a meeting point for more than two people?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can enter up to four addresses at once and Meet in the Middle will calculate the fairest midpoint for the whole group, then suggest places to meet nearby.

Question 8

How do I find hiking trails near a midpoint?

Accepted Answer

After finding a midpoint inside the UK, select the Hikes filter on the results page. We surface nearby walking routes from the Ramblers database so you can plan an outdoor meetup at a fair halfway point. The hikes feature is currently UK-only; all other venue types (restaurants, cafes, parks, activities) work worldwide.
